Dan + Shay Return To Social Media To Confirm New Album Is Coming In 2026

After a nearly year-long social media hiatus in 2025, Dan + Shay returned to Instagram last week with exciting news for fans, confirming they’ve been busy in the studio and are gearing up to release a new album in 2026. The country duo, known for hits like “Tequila,” “Speechless,” and “10,000 Hours,” addressed rumors of a breakup with Dan Smyers assuring fans, “We’re closer than we’ve ever been now. We’re having a blast, having the time of our lives.” Ahead of the album, they plan to drop a surprise Christmas single later this year, along with other special releases planned, with Smyers promising  a big year ahead featuring “more music than ever, more shows, more tours than ever. We’re fired up – 2026 is going to be huge for us.” Shay Mooney thanked fans for their patience, while adding, “We’ve been in the studio writing our favorite music ever.
