Country superstar Tim McGraw has revealed that he is currently “in the middle of” working on a new album.
“I’m in the middle of it. I’ve probably mixed eight so far, and will record a few more soon,” McGraw recently told Lon Helton during his radio show.
The country music singer, songwriter and actor said he has no idea when the album will drop but promised to share “something off the new album here before too long.”
“I’m always looking to beat what I did last time,” he added, in apparent reference to his last album, Here on Earth, released in August, 2020.
McGraw, who just returned from a publicity trip to Europe in support of the release of the TV series “1883,” also spoke about acting in an emotional scene at the end of the series and a scene with Tom Hanks.
McGraw and wife Faith Hill star as couple James and Margaret Dutton in the series.
Tim said he won’t be part of the just-announced sequel to “1883,” titled “1923.”
