Garth Brooks To Release ‘The Anthology 2: The Next Five Years’ This Fall

Garth Brooks has revealed that he will be releasing the latest edition of his anthology book/CD series, The Anthology 2: The Next Five Years, in November.

Brooks has already released the inaugural anthology set, which covered the first five years of his career, and Anthology 3, which featured never-before-seen live concert moments.

Anthology 2 chronicles his career from 1996 through his retirement in 2000. The set will contain six CDs featuring previously unreleased tracks.

Interviews by Bob Dylan and Keith Urban are included in the book.

“We got the green light. We’re ready. This thing is almost 300 pages with almost 280 something photographs in it, which is crazy,” Brooks said on his Facebook Live series, “Inside Studio G.”

The unreleased tracks include Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood covering Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love.”

Speaking about the duet, Brooks said, “Miss [Trisha] Yearwood started this conversation with us about a duet that we had cut on Bob Dylan’s ‘To Make You Feel My Love’ for Hope Floats. She sang the ‘walking home in the rain’ line – I did the title track for it. And then she claims there was a duet done with just strings and a guitar.

“And I didn’t want to tell my wife she was drinking but. And we dug in the vault, and sure enough there it was. This thing is gorgeous. It’s beautiful, so it’s in the Anthology as well,” he added.
