Kane Brown will be making his MTV Video Music Awards debut from the Toyota Stage, performing his latest single “Grand” live for the first time on TV at the 2022 show.
The “Lose It” singer will make VMAs history on August 28 as the first male country artist to perform at the iconic awards show. Last year, he was the only country singer to receive a nomination, which he landed in the Video for Good category for his powerful single “Worldwide Beautiful.”
The lead-in to Brown’s performance this year is being hyped as a bit of a road trip from New York City across the Hudson River to New Jersey, where the show will be held inside Newark’s Prudential Center. It will also make use of mixed reality technology.
Brown is set to release a new studio album titled, Different Man, on September 9.
Nicki Minaj, Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, and Panic! at the Disco are the other artists set to perform at the VMAs this year.
This year’s VMAs show will return to New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark on August 28.
