Country duo Maddie & Tae recently shared a video for their latest single, “Spring Cleaning,” from their forthcoming album Through The Madness Vol. 2.
“Your steadiness was seldom, wearing out your welcome / Ain’t a smile and wave with this goodbye,” they sing in the track’s opening verse. “So I’ma say ‘thank you’ and let you go / Guess I took a little note from Marie Kondo.”
In the video, Maddie & Tae clean up a hotel room, as they sing the song into microphones made out of broomsticks and feather dusters.
Maddie Font and Taylor Kerr co-wrote “Spring Cleaning” with Josh Kerr and Tayla Parx, while Josh Kerr produced the track with Derek Wells.
Through The Madness Vol. 2 is set to arrive on September 23. The album will have eight songs in all, including the recent single “Every Night Every Morning.”
Through The Madness Vol.2 is a follow up to the duo’s acclaimed Through The Madness Vol. 1, released earlier this year.
