Country hits have simultaneously claimed the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for the first time in more than four decades. Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night” extended its stay in top spot on the chart to a 12th total week while, Luke Combs‘ cover of Tracy Chapman‘s “Fast Car” followed at No. 2.
“Last Night” drew 29.8 million streams and 72.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 7,000 downloads during the week ending on June 22, according to Luminate.
The song from the album One Thing at a Time, which was released on Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records on February 6, concurrently tops the Streaming Songs chart, Country Airplay chart, Songs of the Summer chart, and Hot Country Songs chart.
Rema and Selena Gomez‘s “Calm Down” is ranked at No. 3, improving its position from last week.
It is followed by Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers” at No. 4 and Lil Durk‘s “All My Life” featuring J. Cole at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated July 1.
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.
